How to Claim the Prize Money If a Winning Uniform Invoice Is Indistinct or Torn

Recently, netizens shared that their winning invoices got smudged with sweat after being kept in their pockets while working in hot weather. Even the QR code became unreadable, making them lament the loss of their prize money. For many people, winning the uniform invoice lottery feels like a moment of serendipity, but what should you do if your winning uniform invoice is indistinct or partially torn?

The National Taxation Bureau of the Southern Area, Ministry of Finance, stated that if you find your winning uniform invoice torn or indistinct, you may bring the original one back to the invoice issuer to request assistance. After the issuer confirms the entries in the winning uniform invoice are consistent with those in the issuer’s copy (or the retention media file), the issuer will provide a copy of the retention copy with the dedicated seal of uniform invoices for a non-electronic uniform invoice. The prize winner can then present both the copy and the original winning invoice to local prize disbursement institutions to claim the prize. As for an electronic uniform invoice, the issuers will provide a certification copy of electronic uniform invoice marked with the word “Reprint.” The prize winner should then bring it with the original copy to the prize disbursement institutions to redeem the prize.

To avoid missing out on the opportunity to claim due to lost or torn invoices, the Bureau encourages the public to use cloud invoice carriers to store invoices in the cloud (such as mobile barcodes or membership cards) while shopping. It not only helps reduce paper waste but also allows for automatic prize matching, giving consumers one more chance to win.

For cloud invoices issued in the period from May to December 2025, there are 30 sets of NT$1,000,000 cash award, 16,000 sets of NT$2,000 cash award, 100,000 sets of NT$800 cash award, and 3,150,000 sets of NT$500 cash award in each period. If you set up a bank account to claim prizes, you can also enjoy the convenience of automatic remittance of your prize money, ensuring you’ll never miss the chance to become a multi-millionaire!
