The 2024 individual income tax filing period has been extended to June 30, 2025, in response to reciprocal tariff policy with the United States. With the filing deadline around the corner, those who have not yet filed are encouraged to seize the final opportunity to file their tax returns.  

The National Taxation Bureau of the Southern Area, Ministry of Finance, stated that in order to enhance public service and avoid crowding at in-person filing locations, the National Taxation Bureaus will remain open during the lunch break on the last five working days of the filing period—from June 24 to 27 and on June 30, 2025. During this time, extended services will be available for filing submissions as well as inquiries regarding income and deduction data. On the final filing day, June 30, 2025, the document submission deadline will be extended to 7:00 p.m.
