Registration for the 23rd Golden Thumb Awards for PPP Starts Now. Applications Accepted until May 15!

The 23rd Golden Thumb Awards for PPP (Public-Private Partnership) is now open for applications.The due date is May 15, 2025. The award consists of several categories, including the Government, the Private Sector, and others such as Innovation, the Public Welfare, and the Bilingual Benchmark etc. To expand the competition registration, the Ministry of Finance will hold a briefing meeting on April 17, 2025. All are welcome to sign up and compete for the 23rd Golden Thumb Awards for PPP.

The Ministry of Finance stated that in order to encourage for the award participation, the winning government teams of the Golden Thumb Awards will receive cash prizes ranging from NT$100,000 to NT$500,000. Private sector teams may also apply for discounts on bond and royalty fees from the organizing agency. Additionally, others such as the Innovation Award, Public Welfare Award, and Bilingual Benchmark Award, which aim to encourage teams to showcase creativity,contribute to public welfare, and enhance bilingual environments, are all expected to ensure that public infrastructure and services better meet the needs of the public.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Finance explained that since the launch of the Golden Thumb Awards in 2002, a total of 22 editions have been held, and by the end of 2024, 167 Government Team Awards and 194 Private Sector Team Awards will have been presented. The winning teams have set excellent benchmarks for public-private partnership, leading to a win-win-win situation where the government can complete public infrastructure sooner, the public enjoys services earlier, and business investment channels are expanded. As the 23rd edition approaches, the award encourages outstanding projects to seize opportunities for the honor.

The Ministry of Finance also reminds all applicants that the application documents for the 23rd Golden Thumb Awards for PPP must be postmarked or delivered in person to the Ministry of Finance (Address: 13F, No. 1, Lane 142, Section 6, Roosevelt Road, Wenshan District, Taipei City) before 5:00 PM on May 15, 2025. Teams are urged to submit their applications promptly.
