MOF Hackathon kicks off. You might be the one to reinvent taxation services!

        The Ministry of Finance has pressed ahead with tax regulations simplification and constructed high quality taxation condition in recent years. In order to encourage more people to provide their innovation in the applications of tax related data and provide more convenient and better services, later this year the Fiscal Information Agency, Ministry of Finance will hold “Financial Services So Smart” MOF Hackathon. It is hoped that the proposals are in line with the trends of technology development and can fulfill the public's financial service needs, and good ideas in the proposals may be incorporated in the government's future financial services innovation.

        The team competition is designed to fulfill the needs of the public on taxation application, and teams with three to six people may sign up to register. Contestants should submit proposals of “innovative models for public services”, using publicly available financial data and government open data. Outstanding financial proposals judged on providing convenience and innovation services for the public will be selected through two rounds of review.

        The deadline for submission registration and proposals for the hackathon is October 7 online. The top six teams from among all contestants will be selected through preliminary review to enter the final stage, which will be held at the Fiscal Information Agency on November 7. The top three winning teams will be awarded certificates of merit and gift certificates.
