Are there any rewards for reporting illegal tobacco or alcohol? How much is the reward?

1. According to the “Regulations Governing Rewards for Informing or Discovering Offenses of Illegal Tobacco or Alcohol” of the MOF, the reward program is limited to information on illegal tobacco or alcohol manufactures, import, sales, transportation, transfer, or the display or storage with the intent to sell, transport, or transfer, that have resulted in the seizure of contraband in violation of Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 45, Articles 46 to 49, and Paragraphs 1 to 3 of Article 57 of the Tobacco and Alcohol Administration Act. People whose information has resulted in the seizure of other illegal tobacco and alcohol of offenses, such as the violation of tobacco and alcohol labeling regulations, illegal alcohol product advertisement, or promotion, will not be granted rewards.
2. The rewards for reporting to the prosecutor shall be based on the fines, administrative fines and confiscations of the prosecution case, and the selling price of the confiscated matters. For reporting illegal alcohol and tobacco products found on the internet, the award basis shall be 20%; for reporting illegal tobacco and alcohol products not on the internet, the award basis shall be 30%; the maximum amount of reward per case is NT$4.8 million. If the reporting individual is a current or former employee of the illegal operators, the award basis is 45% but shall not be more than NT$6 million.
