In line with the organizational restructuring of the Executive Yuan, the organizational law of the Ministry of Finance and its affiliated organizations/agencies were officially implemented on January 1, 2013. The Ministry of Finance established three business units: the Department of Planning, the Department of International Fiscal Affairs, and the Department for the Promotion of Private Participation;six staff units including the Secretariat, the Department of Personnel, the Department of Civil Service Ethics, the Department of Accounting, the Department of Statistics, and the Department of Legal Affairs. Ten grade-three central agencies were established for its affiliated organizations including the National Treasury Administration, the Taxation Administration, the National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, the National Taxation Bureau of Kaohsiung, the National Taxation Bureau of the Northern Area, the National Taxation Bureau of the Central Area, the National Taxation Bureau of the Southern Area, the Customs Administration, the National Property Administration, and the Fiscal Information Agency; in addition, a grade-four training institution, the Training Institute, was established .
