How to apply for an ATA Carnet?

An ATA Carnet is used in lieu of a Customs declaration. In principle, the goods covered by the ATA Carnet are commercial samples, professional equipment and goods for use at exhibitions. Where the goods are re-exported or re-imported within the period of validity of the ATA Carnet, such goods may be exempted from Customs duty. A qualified natural or legal person may apply for the use of an ATA Carnet with the External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) in Taiwan.

If you wish to apply for an ATA Carnet, you may contact the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
