The National Taxation Bureau of Kaohsiung, Ministry of Finance stated that they have recently received people inquiries about how to use the national Health Insurance Card to inquire about the income and deductions and to declare the 2019 individual income tax return. The National Taxation Bureau has implemented tax returns with the National Health Insurance Card for many years. People can use a card reader at home to log in to the official website of "Health Insurance Card Online Service Registration" to check the identity of members and obtain the registration password. You can log in to the e-filing system of Individual Income Tax with "Health Insurance Card and password." After downloading the income and deduction information, you can declare your 2019 individual income tax return online.

The bureau further explained what you should do if there is no card reader at home. People can apply for registration at the service counter of the taxation bureau or the Health Insurance Administration. Especially remind the public that to avoid crowding during the declaration period, you can go to the taxation bureau to register in advance from now on. You can go to the nearest convenience store with your registered Health Insurance Card from April 28 to June 30, using KIOSK to obtain the "inquiry code" with the "Health Insurance Card and password", and then declare individual income tax online without a card reader.
