Taichung Customs Approves Establishment of Bonded Factory for T-CONN’s Miaoli Guohua Plant

Taichung Customs, Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance, has approved the establishment of the Miaoli Guohua Plant of Taikang Precision Co., Ltd. (T-CONN) as a bonded factory. On July 27, 2026, the plaque unveiling ceremony was jointly officiated by Ms. Shu-Chuan Chang, Director-General of Taichung Customs, and Mr. Lai-Hung Chang, Executive Vice President of Taikang Precision Co., Ltd. The ceremony was conducted in a simple yet dignified manner.

Taikang Precision Co., Ltd. (T-CONN) has officially obtained bonded factory status, marking a significant milestone in strengthening its smart manufacturing capabilities and global export competitiveness. With years of expertise in precision manufacturing, the company has strategically expanded into the high-end electric bicycle (E-Bike) industry in recent years. It has successfully established a comprehensive one-stop manufacturing service encompassing frame production, component manufacturing, painting, assembly, quality inspection, and worldwide distribution. In addition, T-CONN has implemented an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and a digital warehouse management system to establish a high-standard material traceability and quality control mechanism.

T-CONN stated that it will leverage the advantages of the bonded factory system to provide international brand customers with a more efficient and resilient global supply chain service. The company will also continue to advance smart manufacturing, green supply chain initiatives, and digital management capabilities to further enhance production efficiency and product quality. Working closely with its supply chain partners, T-CONN aims to build a comprehensive E-Bike industry ecosystem in Taiwan and bring Taiwan’s world-class manufacturing excellence to the global market.

Taichung Customs noted that T-CONN’s approval as a bonded factory demonstrates that the company has fully achieved international standards in corporate governance and management systems. As a bonded factory, the company will benefit from faster and more efficient customs clearance procedures, as well as bonded tax incentives, including exemptions from import duties on raw materials used in export products. These advantages will help reduce capital tied up in inventory, improve operational cash flow flexibility, and enhance the international price competitiveness of its products.

Taichung Customs further stated that it will continue to uphold its longstanding commitment to “Service, Security, and Facilitation” by providing a high-quality and efficient customs clearance environment together with comprehensive bonded-facility guidance and support. Customs will remain a strong partner for businesses, working hand in hand with industry to strengthen Taiwan’s industrial foundation and expand its presence in the global marketplace.
