Evergreen Logistics Corp. has recently renewed its Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status in November, 2019. On December 19, Director of Taipei Customs Chen I-tsai (陳依財) granted the certificate and extended his congratulations to the company’s general manager Li, Ming-che (李明哲).
TPC stated that the Customs will continue to sign AEO mutual recognition agreements (MRA) with its counterparts, in which way AEO exporters of Taiwan could further enjoy facilitated customs clearance in others countries. As of today, Taiwan already signed AEO MRAs with the United States, Singapore, Israel, South Korea, Australia, Japan and India respectively. AEO traders of Taiwan exporting goods to these countries could enjoy facilitated customs clearance, including lower inspection rates of the imported goods as one of the preferential measures.
TPC also pointed out that economic operators introducing the AEO system could take the chance to review their overall operating procedures. It will not only enhance the company’s risk prevention measures, but also optimize their security mechanisms and elevate the company’s image and competitiveness. TPC highly welcomes supply chain operators in Taiwan to join the AEO program in this regard. For further information regarding AEO application, please contact the Service Section, Clearance Division II at (03) 383-4265 ext. 363 or 364, or go to TPC website http://taipei.customs.gov.tw.
