Universal Cash Handout Program Deadline Ends by the End of October This Year; Infants Born Before the End of September Have a Collection Deadline of October as Well

The National Treasury Administration, Ministry of Finance indicates that as of August 14th, 2023, over 23.04 million individuals have claimed their NT$6,000 cash, with over 97% of the population receiving the universal cash handout through multiple channels. The deadline for claiming this universal cash handout is until October 31st of this year. There are still some individuals who have not yet claimed it. The NTA urges eligible individuals to promptly choose an appropriate method for claiming their NT$6,000 cash.
Furthermore, the NTA also reminds the public that for infants born before the end of September 2023, the deadline for claiming the universal cash handout will also apply until the end of October 2023. It is essential to protect your own rights by promptly completing the birth registration to obtain your domestic household registration. After that, you can claim the universal cash handout within the specified timeframe.
The NTA once again reminds the public that the government will not send text messages or emails to notify individuals about receiving money or logging in, nor will they make phone calls requesting ATM or online banking transactions. It is crucial for the public to remain vigilant and not fall for these scams in order to prevent personal information theft or fraud. If encountering suspicious websites or messages, please immediately call the Anti-Fraud Hotline at 165 to prevent fraudulent incidents.
