National Property Administration announces 3rd batch of national houses and lands leasing tenders for 2024, inviting bids from leasing operators

To enhance the utilization of national houses and lands, the National Property Administration (NPA) is actively promoting the lease by tender of national non-public properties to qualified rental housing leasing operators (hereinafter referred to as “leasing operators”) in accordance with the Rental Housing Market Development and Regulation Act. These operators will then sublease the properties to sub-lessees for residential use (hereinafter referred to as “national houses and lands leasing”). The NPA announced the 3rd batch of national houses and lands leasing tenders on July 25 and 26 and August 16, 2024. This batch includes a total of 4 bids and 40 units, located in Taipei City (20 units), Taichung City (11 units), Kaohsiung City (6 units), and Tainan City (3 units). The bidding process is scheduled for September 12 and 23, 2024. Relevant tender information has been published on the websites of the NPA’s Northern, Central, and Southern Regional Offices. Leasing operators are encouraged to submit their bids before the deadline. Please note that a copy of a valid membership certificate from the local leasing industry association in the area where the tendered property is located must be included with the bid. Failure to do so will result in an invalid bid.

The NPA stated that the 3rd batch of properties for 2024 includes 20 units in Taipei City, of which 18 are located in the same block and are around 20 pings in size, situated within the Gongguan shopping district, close to the MRT Gongguan Station, National Taiwan University, and the Tri-Service General Hospital, offering convenient transportation, education, and medical facilities. The remaining 2 units are near the MRT Dongmen Station and Dongmen Market, providing a pleasant living environment. In Taichung City, there are 11 units located in Beitun District, Wurih District, and Dali District. These units are close to Bei Tun Elementary School, Ming-Dao High School, Wurih Junior High School, National Chung Hsing University, and Dali Civil and Child Sports Center, respectively, offering excellent living amenities and locational advantages. Kaohsiung City has 6 units situated in Luzhu District, Hunei District, Qianzhen District, and Yancheng District. They are near TRA Da-Hu Station, Tungfang Design University, Highway No.1, Rueisiang High School, Zhongzheng Soccer Field, and the Municipal Kaohsiung Girls’ Senior High School (KGHS), providing convenient access to public facilities and transportation, creating a favorable living environment. Tainan City offers 3 units located in Sinying District, near TRA Sinying Station, Sinying Elementary School, and the Sinying Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare, ensuring convenient living amenities. The common feature of these properties is their proximity to public transportation stations, schools, and other amenities, offering convenient transportation and a fulfilling lifestyle. Leasing operators are encouraged to actively participate in the bidding process. The NPA is looking forward to another successful round of tenders, with all units being leased out.

The NPA further stated that since the launch of national houses and lands leasing in March 2023, a total of 153 units have been announced for bidding as of June 2024, with 111 units successfully leased out, resulting in a leasing rate of 73% and demonstrating excellent performance. The NPA will continue to select suitable properties, and plans to offer at least 30 more units for bidding in the fourth quarter of 2024, aiming to expand the rental housing market supply and meet the housing needs of the public.
