Keelung Customs (KLC) stated that anti-dumping duties imposed on galvanized steel plates from Mainland China and South Korea, and carbon steel plates from Brazil, Mainland China, India, Indonesia, South Korea, and Ukraine would continue for another 5 years since the notice of the Ministry of Finance on September 14, 2022. However, the duties on carbon steel plates from Ukraine would be suspended for a year. Relevant stakeholders are advised to pay attention to the changes before importing such products to avoid increased importation costs.

KLC further explained that the anti-dumping duties imposed on certain flat-rolled steel products, plated or coated with zinc or zinc-alloys range from 0% to 77.3%, and the duties on flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, hot-rolled, or certain other alloy steel, not in coils, not clad, plated or coated, of a thickness of 6mm or more range from 5.8% to 80.5%, according to the country of origin, the country of manufacture, manufacturers and exporters. To avoid facing higher anti-dumping duties, firms importing such products from the countries or manufacturers listed in the said notice should submit relevant certificates to Customs for verification of applicable anti-dumping duty rates.
