Taichung Customs, Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance, announced that, in response to the customs clearance needs of travelers, import and export cargo, postal parcels, and means of transportation during the consecutive holidays for the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival and Confucius’ Birthday/Teachers’ Day from September 25 to 28, it will continue to provide customs clearance services in line with its commitment to uninterrupted public service, ensuring the smooth flow of goods.
Taichung Customs explained that the following customs clearance measures will be implemented during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Confucius’ Birthday/Teachers’ Day holidays:

1.General Import and Export Clearance on September 24
General import and export customs clearance, including bonded goods, will be completed on September 24, the day before the consecutive holidays, except for special cases. This measure will allow businesses to make appropriate arrangements for subsequent logistics operations and avoid delays.

2. Customs Clearance Services During the Consecutive Holidays
For import and export cargo requiring customs clearance during the consecutive holidays, businesses are not required to submit applications in advance. Customs officers will proactively be assigned to handle customs clearance operations from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, ensuring uninterrupted service. The holiday period will be treated as normal working hours, and no additional special inspection fees or special supervision fees will be charged.

3. Cargo Inspection by X-ray
In coordination with the operating schedules of container yards, customs officers will be on duty from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

4. Postal Parcel Operations
In coordination with the postal service's operating hours, customs officers will be on duty throughout the day on September 28.

5. Passenger Baggage, Vessels and Aircraft
Customs clearance services for baggage of arriving and departing passengers, vessels, and aircraft will remain available 24 hours a day.
