Director of Taipei Customs Ken C.K. Chen was promoted to another agency, succeeded by Deputy Director of Taipei Customs Chen Shih-Feng. The inauguration ceremony was held on 16th, July, 2021 and hosted by Director General of Customs Administration Hsieh Ling-Yuan. The guest list was trimmed and the activity matched the guidance for COVID-19.
With nearly 36 years experience in Customs, Chen Shih-Feng who holds a Master’s Degree in Shipping and Transportation Management from National Taiwan Ocean University has considerable expertise in air clearance, sea clearance and the related regulations and laws.
Director General Hsieh was appreciated the effort of Taipei Customs amid the pandemic. She also anticipated that Director Chen could lead the way in border protection.
The newly appointed Director Chen shared his expectations with every member of Taipei Customs: 1. Be a professional customs officer and never stop learning. 2. Provide active support to those in need. 3. Cooperate with each other. 4. Communicate with businesses to avoid any misunderstanding. 5. Think big, think wide and always broaden our horizons.
Finally, Director Chen called for the support and cooperation from the pertinent government agencies and private sectors to build collaboratively a clearance environment with the coexistence of facilitation and security.
