To collect information on the business operations and changes in fixed assets of customs brokerage firms, which serves as an important reference for the compilation of national income and input-output statistics by the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Executive Yuan, as well as for government policymaking, Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance, is conducting the 2025 Survey of Service Industry Operations and Investment for the Customs Brokerage Industry from June 22 to July 24, 2026. Sampled customs brokerage firms are requested to complete and return the questionnaire within the prescribed period.
This survey is a designated government statistical survey conducted annually in accordance with the Statistics Act and related regulations. Customs brokerage firms are selected through statistical sampling methods to provide information on their operating revenues, costs and expenses, and changes in assets. The survey results will be used to supplement and strengthen existing service industry statistics, enhance their completeness and usefulness, and serve as an important basis for the compilation of national income statistics, input-output statistics, and government policymaking.
Customs Administration explained that official notification letters and questionnaires have been sent to the sampled firms. Respondents may choose either online or paper-based reporting. Customs Administration encourages firms to take advantage of the online reporting system, which offers a convenient and efficient reporting method. Firms opting for online reporting may access the reporting system at https://enterprise.dgbas.gov.tw/SERVICE2 during the survey period and complete the questionnaire online. Firms choosing paper-based reporting are requested to complete the questionnaire and return it using the enclosed postage-paid envelope.
Customs Administration interviewers will contact sampled firms by telephone during the survey period. Should respondents have any questions, they may contact the relevant personnel using the contact information provided in the lower-right corner on the reverse side of the questionnaire, where assistance will be readily available.
Customs Administration emphasized that, pursuant to the relevant provisions of the Statistics Act, respondents are required to provide accurate information and submit their responses within the prescribed period. All individual information collected through the survey will be kept strictly confidential in accordance with the law and will be used solely for aggregate statistical analysis. The information will not be used for any other purpose. Respondents are therefore encouraged to provide accurate information with confidence.
