The inquiry for 2025 Individual Income Tax income and deduction information will begin on April 28, 2026. Taxpayers visiting tax offices are advised to note that the first filing day coincides with Labor Day and the weekend.

As the May tax season countdown continues, taxpayers are reminded that access to 2025 individual income tax income and deduction information will be available at 8:00 a.m. on April 28, 2026. Taxpayers may download the information online or visit their nearest tax office for inquiry.

Early access to the inquiry enables taxpayers to have sufficient time to verify deduction information (e.g., insurance premiums, medical expenses, and children’s education tuition), confirm the status of dependents, and check whether there is any income not yet reflected in the inquiry results.

The National Taxation Bureau of Kaohsiung (hereinafter referred to as the “Bureau”) reminds the public that the 2025 Individual Income Tax filing period runs from May 1 to June 1, 2026. May 1 to May 3 will be a three-day holiday for Labor Day and the weekend. The Bureau stated that, although local national taxation bureaus will be closed during the holiday, the online filing service will remain available from May 1 without interruption. For taxpayers who require counter services for income information inquiry or on-site assistance with online tax filing, May 4 (Monday) will be the first working day of the filing period.

The Bureau stated that the deadline for filing the 2025 Individual Income Tax return is May 31, 2026, but will be postponed to June 1 (Monday) as May 31 falls on a Sunday. Therefore, taxpayers are encouraged to make use of the Labor Day long weekend to visit the “e-Filing and Tax Payment Service” website(https://tax.nat.gov.twto download income tax information for verification and filing, and to file and upload their tax return data. The service can be accessed using a Citizen Certificate, National Health Insurance (NHI) Card with registered password, electronic certificate, Mobile Citizen Digital Certificate (TW FidO), inquiry code. etc.
