The National Taxation Bureau Provides a One-Stop Service for Checking Financial Inheritance and Pre-calculation of Estate Tax Service, Saving Time and Offering Convenience.

The Yuanlin Office,National Taxation Bureau of the Central Area, Ministry of Finance stated that local national taxation bureaus have been providing a "single window inquiry into financial estate" service since July 1, 2020, and will also provide a "pre-calculation of estate tax" service when applying for the financial estate of the deceased from January 1, 2022. The public can go to the nearest national taxation bureau to apply for an inquiry into the financial estate of the deceased and apply for a pre-calculation of estate tax at the same time, which is time-saving and convenient.

The institute further explained that in practice, the public has limited knowledge of the status of the property left by the deceased. In the past, in addition to inquiring about the deceased's property and income information from the National Taxation Bureau, it was also necessary to inquire about financial inheritance from different institutions such as banks, insurance and securities companies, which was very time-consuming. Now, the heirs only need to bring their identity documents, the deceased's death certificate, or the transcript of the household registration, and their relationship with the deceased. With the supporting documents (if entrusting the application, please attach the agent's identity certificate and power of attorney), you can go to the National Taxation Bureau counter to apply for inquiries from nine major financial institutions on the deceased's deposits, financial institution loans, listed at TWSE, TPEx and emerging market securities, futures, life insurance, safe deposit boxes, etc. Please rewrite as a list of independent items--at the time of death. You can also apply for pre-calculation of estate tax service at the same time to enhance the convenience of declaring the estate tax.

The office also calls on taxpayers to seek assistance from taxpayer rights protection officers if they face tax-related disputes to communicate and coordinate dispute cases. If you have any questions, please call the toll-free service number 0800-000321 and the office will serve you wholeheartedly.
