The National Property Administration (NPA) will move to Ai-Kuo West Road Building (No. 2, Aiguo W. Rd., Zhongzheng Dist., Taipei City, former Finance Building) on December 18 (Monday), 2023. The original location, No. 18, Ln. 116, Guangfu S. Rd., Da’an Dist., Taipei City, will provide services until noon on Friday, December 15, 2023, after which the move will commence.

    The original location of the NPA is close to the MRT Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station, in central Taipei City. The two low-level use buildings are both over 50 years old, with structural safety concerns due to age and cracks. They are in need of a refurbishment and rebranding, which would also help improve the quality of the urban landscape.

    To comply with the bidding schedule for the new construction of the office building, the NPA will move to the temporary office, Ai-Kuo West Road Building on December 18, 2023 (Monday). The building is located at the intersection of Ai-Kuo West Road and Nanchang Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, which is close to the MRT Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Station. It was originally used by the Ministry of Finance. Since the Ministry of Finance moved to Financial Park, Jingmei in order to effectively use national assets and save management and maintenance costs, the long-term plan is to demolish it and build a new building. In the short term, it will be used as a temporary office during the reconstruction of the office building by the central ministries and councils. It is currently used as a joint office for the NPA, the Climate Change Administration, Ministry of Environment and the Department of International Information Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

    Ai-Kuo West Road Building is more than 30 years old, but it has recently undergone structural reinforcement, interior decoration, roof waterproofing, and exterior wall renovation, so that it can be used at least for another 15 years so as to adequately provide each stationed agency a safe, comfortable office environment.
