For Dec. 2022, total exports contracted 12.1% year on year to US$ 35.75 billion; total imports fell 11.4% from a year earlier to US$ 30.96 billion. The trade balance of this month was favorable, amounting to US$ 4.79 billion. In 2022, total exports expanded 7.4% and total imports rose by 11.9% compared with 2021. The trade balance of this year was favorable, amounting to US$ 51.92 billion.
