The NT$10 billion investment plan is a jointly-launched program in which government-controlled financial institutions with capital and funding from banks, venture capital companies, and resources from private partners supply up to NT$10 billion in funding for corporate investment. The plan will mainly focus on injecting capital into those businesses in the fields of the assigned six core industries, including information technology, information security, biomed, national defense, green energy, and household necessities; or in the development of international supply chains; or encouraging the capabilities of innovation, transformation, and upgrading. This would also apply to industries with innovation plans, such as agriculture or circular economy. The businesses in need may contact the six venture capital companies by submitting applications together with financial requirements and operational plans, and these six companies will review the applications through their funding evaluation procedures. Through these mechanisms, the government hopes to encourage businesses to take the initiative, revitalize the economic prosperity, and stimulate the employment market.
