If the owner or user of a licensed vehicle is affected by COVID-19 and does not intend to operate the owner’s or user’s vehicle, what should he or she do?

The owner or user of a licensed vehicle should apply to the transportation authorities for non-operational status during the COVID-19 period, and the tax due shall be prorated by the number of days the vehicle was in operation for the whole year. Payment of the vehicle license tax is not required, when applying for non-operational status during the COVID-19 period.
