Multiple individual income tax payment methods for aliens
The National Taxation Bureau of the Southern Area, Ministry of Finance wishes to inform aliens that the Ministry of Finance provides multiple tax payment methods for them. Aliens can pay tax in cash or by check at any tax collection office. Besides, if the tax payment amount is less than NT$20,000, they can pay the tax at convenience stores such as 7-ELEVEN, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, and OK Mart. Furthermore, aliens are also allowed to pay tax through the following multiple payment methods.
(1) Financial Chip Card: Taxpayers can use their own or others’ financial chip card issued by a commissioned financial institution and then access "the System of e-Filing and Payment of Individual Income Tax for Aliens" or the tax service website (https: //paytax.nat.gov.tw). Following the instructions, they can pay tax immediately by transfer.
(2) Credit Card: Taxpayers can use their own or their spouses’ credit cards issued by commissioned card issuers (one household, one card only) and pay tax through "the System of e-Filing and Payment of Individual Income Tax for Aliens.”
(3) Current (Savings) Deposit Account: Taxpayers can use their own current (savings) deposit account of a financial institution or Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd. and pay tax through "the System of e-Filing and Payment of Individual Income Tax for Aliens" by transfer.
The Bureau reminds aliens that the deadline for filing the 2018 annual income tax is May 31, 2019. The tax can be paid in cash at a tax collection office, convenience stores, by financial chip cards through the tax service website, and so on. The deadline for paying tax is June 2, 2019. If tax payment is overdue, the only way for aliens to pay tax is at a tax collection office.
